Silent No More: Unveiling the Hidden Forces Restricting Freedom of Speech in Oldham County Schools
THE HISTORY THROUGH VIDEO AND EMAIL EVIDENCE
Micah Cain's Speech Which Resulted in Him Being Banned From His Children's Public School and a Threat of Legal Action For Trespassing, Harassment, And/or Menacing
On 9/27/2021 Mr. Micah Cain was removed from an Oldham County Public School board meeting and banned by Oldham County Schools from future meetings. Mr. Cain would later successfully sue the Oldham County School Board for violating his First Amendment rights (link to story). Ultimately the school system agreed to all demands in his settlement (link)
Since 2021 the Superintendent (the Official Custodian of Public Records) has denied numerous open record attempts by multiple Oldham County citizens regarding this event. These records were requested in an attempt to gain further insight to the decisions made surrounding this matter.
Finally, in February 2024, a FOIA request for these records was successful which greatly illuminated the events and person(s) responsible for a poor understanding of protecting a citizen's Constitutional Rights regarding public expression at these meetings. The decisions made by this person(s) resulted in many of the unfortunate events that have occurred since that time.

Thanks to the FOIA documents these events are now known and we are able to list the events chronologically and let the People decide for themselves:
Who was the person or persons most responsible for the alleged First Amendment and Fourteenth Amendment infringement of citizens during Oldham County Public Expression and the policies which followed?
